Teething what fun this is!! Right we got a teething necklace for
DD and i noticed a difference straight away for the first few
lots of teeth the necklace and the natropharm teething spray
seemed to be all we needed. I did find tho for those nasty back
teeth we did give pamol and i did end up using a bit of bonjella
from time to time.
I have also been told that emu oil is great for teething im keen
to try it next time around.
Personally i think its hard to find what works and doesnt, i have
ladies that swear by teething necklaces and some that dont notice
a difference. I also tried the teething powder but found that
didnt help much. Frozen teething rings or fruit in a wee mesh bag
she seemed to love and give her some relief.

Im really surprised at how many people leave their necklaces on
full-time. I couldnt do that, I'd be too worried my wee one would
strangle herself, even with the safety clasp mine has. I take my
daughters one off at night, however when she is teething I put it
around her ankle at night. Better a strangled foot than a strangled
neck...

I have thought the same thing Sally. I would worry about that
possibly happening.
I do think the teething necklaces sound great - i have never used
them though.

our girl is teething so bad lately, and bonjela does nothing, pamol
doesn't do much either so she's finding it quite hard, but has been
really good lately, she always seems to just smile through her pain
:(

My babies are now 10 and 5 years old, but I used the weleda
Teething powder topped with a bit of pamol on the really bad
nights. I used it with both kids.

Some of the ladies in my coffee group use the Weleda Powder and
swear by it. I am using a necklace and bonjella (I had already
bought the bonjella before I heard of the Weleda powder). She still
seems to be having trouble and we don't even have any teeth yet. On
really bad nights I use Pamol but try to avoid it a bit as I don't
even like taking Panadol myself.

OK the cynic is converted! I have to admit that the amber necklace
really seems to work. Even my hubby who thought I was MAD when I
bought it has admitted that it seems to help. So many lumps and
bumps in my wee girls mouth at the moment and we really noticed the
difference when we took the necklace off for 3 days to go to
daycare.

I was the same Jules...I seriously questioned whether I was mad
buying one...but I now thank that for making teething a more
pleasant experience....after a few months break Mimi is getting her
back teeth now so Im using it again.

I got Jarvis his necklace from
www.chookmook.co.nz, she makes them herself & they're
really beautiful. I notice a HUGE difference when he's not
wearing his - we had an anklet which fell off in the garden, and
he became a much sadder little boy almost immediately. I now have
a necklace for him as it won't fall off - he's almost 10 months
old, yesterday two more teeth came through (up to 6 now!), and
the only reason I noticed was he was a little bit grumpy.
We've never had to use pamol, I have a wonderful teething spray
from a local homeoepath -manutuke
herbs - (it's easier to use than teething powder & is
alcohol free), we might just have a little dude who's a good
teether, but it's been great being able to manage it without
having to whip out the pamol (and I'm not a total meanie, if he
did really need it I would give him some!) . Another wonderful
thing I've done is make up icecubes of chamomile tea & give
them to him in a muslin cloth to suck & chew on, instant
results :) I even put cooled chamomile tea into his sippy cup!!
That stuff is pure magic!
Hope it's okay that I put some links in - just things that I've
found really helpful, and if friends hadn't passed the links on
to me I probably wouldn't have found them
